Not sure how much you already know, but if this is your first Rolex, you can't . Clearly going to be a winner with the masses. But the metal ring, case symmetry with the pushers & guards ruins the balance for me a little. Still like it however, just currently prefer the original, maybe that will change. Much prefer the hourmarkers on the 12 series over the 11 series - much thinner and refined, like the previous zenith daytona's and the early stick dials. Once I noticed this on the 11 series models I couldn't unsee it, they look too fat and look strange as . The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is arguably, the most well known watch on earth. Say the name Daytona in almost any country and you get nods and murmers of understanding – even if there is an otherwise language barrier.
New Daytona Incoming Hello everyone, Got the call after a long wait from my second AD to pick this one up (apologies for the terrible indoor lighting), just in time for the holidays. I've had a two-tone yellow gold Daytona with blue racing dial (116523) for a while and am looking to upgrade it to full gold. Except the green dial which is ludicrously priced at the moment - Which one would you recommend?
Rolex Daytona Black vs. White. I have the non ceramic Daytona with white dial and it's absolutely stunning. I actually still love it over the non ceramic black dial. After visiting the shop for the new daytona launch, I actually preferred the black this time. Probably the best advice given in this thread so far. If your heart is set on a Daytona why not make it a PM one at that price? The SS Daytona is a great watch, but it isn’t k great and you will most likely realize this at some point. Now that they've achieved such a stellar line up, Rolex needs to step up to the plate and retro fit the glide lock clasp they're using on the YM/Sky-D line. This then would be the truly "best" Daytona oyster flex. Was debating between the Daytona or the new yacht master 42 yellow gold. I really like the sporty look of the Oysterflex with precious medal. Now it’s just a matter of getting my hands on one!
