At 50 mm lug-to-lug, on my wrist (6.5 inches) the watch has an impressive presence. And while it’s a large watch, the super legible dial is what really stands out. The reason is simply the high contrast of the “maxi dial” layout which is used in the Explorer II (particularly the white dial version). The Explorer II has a safety locking clasp, and inside is a small “comfort extension” that opens up the bracelet a small amount but it doesn’t have the more sophisticated micro-adjust system of the Rolex Submariner and other diving watches.
