How to get approved for Google Adsense

Read the Adsense Program Policies

You must adhere to all the rules associated with becoming a member of their program. Or risk losing your membership and revenue.

If you break these rules they will disable ad serving to your website and you will never be allowed to apply again. (There are ways that you can reapply but it could really hurt if you are banned.) As rules are changed from time to time it is important that you continue to update your knowledge of their rules regularly.

  • Most of their rules are against fake clicks to ads from yourself or by friends and family. Adsense is looking for clean legitimate traffic to your website and their advertisements. Advertisers pay big money to place ads on your website.
  • You must also adhere to Google’s Publishing Policies – These mainly pertain to content promoting anything illegal or breaching copyright. Endangered species or dangerous or derogatory content. These terms are very detailed and definitely worth a read whenever you are adding any content to your website.

  1. Hey, thank you so much for this important information. I applied for google adsense a number of time and I was never approved. My website is over six months old, it has quality content which has been google indexed. I had always wondered what the problem maybe. Having gone through the page you provided will help me a lot, and I hope this time I will get approved

    • It all sounds fine but it can be hard to get approved. I know with Media.Net that they are looking for Premium traffic only from the USA, UK, and Canada. So perhaps you just aren’t getting enough traffic yet or the niche you are in hasn’t many advertisers waiting to place their ads. None of the platforms seem to be very good at helping new applications.

  2. Thank you very much for explaining the steps to register for Google Adsense. It’s just a few weeks ago that I try to submit my blog, but it seems it may need a longer time to answer? I’ve checked my published articles. It has more than 30 articles, but it hasn’t generated that much traffic. By the way, is it safe to also apply for other AdSense programs simultaneously?

    • Yes, you can do that Al but keep in mind that you do need between 500 and 1000 people looking at posts on your website daily to make money from these ad platforms. My suggestion would be for you to focus on writing quality content and promoting it on several social media areas to grow that traffic and then apply.

  3. Thanks for this article How To Get Approved For Google Adsense. Excellently described procedure with all instructions and warnings.
I, unfortunately, have one negative experience. Adsense has restricted the display of ads on my site, explaining that there was a click violation – multiple clicks on the same ad by a single IP. When I checked the statistics, only one click was detected in the whole week, so there were really no mass clicks. I contacted them, but have not received any feedback to date. And I checked on the internet – Google Adsense often unjustifiably withdraws the option to show ads, a lot of people have this kind of negative experience.
I am considering connecting with some other ad provider on the website. Maybe it would be great if you prepare an article for us with alternatives.
    Friendly greeting,
    Nina

    • Hi Nina, I’m sorry to hear that you had this experience. It seems to be a regular complaint on several of these ad platforms. I’ve asked around but can’t get answers to why suddenly accounts are closed. I can only wonder that they are trying to stop scammers (not you) from abusing their systems and they need to refine it better.

I’ll take your advice and do some more research, thanks.
