I prefer no date, but really, this is just personal preference (I pretty much always know what day (and date) it is, as my job and basic life routine depends on that), while I can easily see why others would prefer the date--really just depends on the individual--both are great.
A no-date Sub is at this point an acquired purist's taste and if your just wanting a watch, date all the way. Date is much harder to get than the no date which were always unsold in dealers cases until the shortage kicked in, if that tells you anything. Has anyone purchased a sub no date and wish they would have bought one with a date function or vis-versa? What are your thoughts?! I am really torn on this decision. No date all the way. It drove me nuts looking at the sub date and watching the minute and seconds hands dip under the cyclops. The no date is so symmetrical and clean, I love it. Rolex does a great job of creating clean, simple dials like this. The Milgauss is .

I inquired about the sub no date towards the end of April and had the option of a date v no date by the 5th or May.
